All that jazz

Looking for an excuse to discover some bars you didn’t already visit? Brussels Jazz Weekend offers you a bunch of jazz musicians in the city from 26 to 28 May. Pubs, squares, no place can escape the sound of numerous artists from Belgium and abroad.

Not a big fan of Miles Davis or Billie Holiday? No need to worry: balkan, salsa and African electronic music accompany the typical jazz vibes.

Art with a BANG!

Until June 8th arts festival BANG! schedules surprising music and performance in the Begijnhofkerk. Allround creative Sarah Yu Zeebroek invites two experimental artists and a performance duo. Serge Verstockt combines music and video in the composition A la recherche de temps I & II that ends in an uncontrolled punk concert.

On the closing night, you discover some more live acts, including the stories of Douglas Park, the physical saxophone performance of André Vida and the drumming talent of Krist Torfs.

Liberate your voice

In Voicing Pieces you get to listen to your own voice in a soundproof booth. In that way, it turns into a strange and autonomous tool in a theatrical performance.  Voicing Pieces is part of Kunstenfestivaldesarts which you can still visit until 27 May.
